Earlier today, I was bored and needed something to do;
Something that would just get me busy,
save me from the filthy grasp of boredom.
I turned to reading old conversations,
Words I once adore, that would be sent to a shredder after now.
I started reading from the very beginning,
To the part where we started talking about our interest;
To the part where we discussed our plans and everything we hoped to achieve.
Eventually, I got to the part where we confessed we both felt an attraction,
Where I started a journey back to the start — Planet Solace;
A place where everyone with heartbreak tend to find solace.
Trusting that you meant every word was a mistake I’m glad I made;
Made me learn never to trust you again.
Whenever I saw messages from you;
Unconsciously, my lips will part to reveal a smile, but now,
Your name from thousand tongues can’t give me a smile.
My smiles were beautiful, yours were beautifully charming,
I once said your smile is as beautiful;
Beautifully rare as sunset in Iceland during summer,
Where the sun almost never set,
But when it does, it’s always a beauty to behold.
If given one second, I’d ask a million questions;
Especially about the numerous promises you made.
Remember, you were comforting me that my broken heart can beat again?
That you’d love me in a different way
That’d cause me to forget the pain?
That you’ll erase the history of heartaches,
That decorates my past?
You promised to come running,
If I ever call your name,
That also a lie?
’Cause my heart has been screaming your name for days,
And you’re still ten thousand miles away,
You hear the whispers, loud and clear,
You just don’t care
I’m such an idiot innit?
I shouldn’t have believed you at all.
I’m just an idiot!
I thought you loved me like you said,
That you’d never trade what we had for anything
I thought I found that person,
The one I shouldn’t be scared to love,
I’ve always been a fool,
And I am a fool once more.
